Paragon Mortgages have comissioned a report by independent researchers, BDRC Continental, to identify where rental yields are highest.
And the results?
Well, according to the survey of in excess of 500 landlords (some of whom were Paragon Mortgage and Mortgage Trust customers), landlords in the North West of the UK have been attaining average yields of 6.6% in the first quarter of 2012, an increase of 0.7% since Q4 of 2011.
In second place is the North East achieving an average yield of 6.5%. The South West follows closely behind with average yields at 6.4%, shortly followed by the East of England, with 6.3%.
In general, however, across the country the average yield for Q1 of 2012 has increased since Q4 of 2011, up 0.3% from 5.9% to 6.2%.
